Saturday 4th

A Night Of Blues and Debauchery with Ed Gartry and the Werewolves of Powys and more
DOORS 6:15pm // £6

ED GARTRY AND THE WEREWOLVES OF POWYS -
There are two lead guitarists in the pack, a bassist and a wolverine drummer from Australia. Eddy Gartry does the main howling, the finger-picking and the sliding around a steel guitar. Whenever he needs to move up a gear in an electric set, he'll attack a Fender Stratocaster, jammed into an ancient British valve amp. Not a pedal in sight, he does it his way. Eddy's experience and grand musical history speaks for itself. - Then there's the masterful lead guitar playing of Jon Crowe [a real Shropshire lad] who loves his trusty Martin D28 guitar unplugged, or, his 60's Stratocaster played through his very British 'Victory' valve amps. You won't hear him 'Crowe' about it, but off stage, he's probably one of the busiest guitar teachers around. Guitarists don't come much faster and they certainly don't come any more dedicated than this man. Even Prince Charles once remarked that, 'Jon's playing is really great.' He's not alone with that opinion either. From Django to Metal and all in between, this guys got it covered.

DUSTY OLD CROWS - Edinburgh based Blues, Rock and Funk band. Their debut album This Will Not Stand is now available ble to purchase on iTunes https://t.co/McHqCJ5m5l.

MICHAEL SPRENGER - The Damned and Dirty is one of the most exciting and innovative duos in the blues tradition. The core is delta blues, with fingerpicking, wailing blues harp, screaming slide guitar and raw vocals. They've also succesfully tried their hand at country, jazz, pop and rock. What started out as a side project of Kevin de Harde and Micha Sprenger grew bigger fast after their first release titled The Damned and Dirty in 2012. At first not having planned any live performances they released it digitally for free (it still is!). Fans of the album started requesting live shows and they knew this was no longer just a side project.

THE VIOLENT MOOD SWINGS - Alternative/Dark/Gypsy/Circus/Murder Tango Blues band from Edinburgh. The violent mood swings will make you boogie and sweat on the darkest lyrics and some incredible solos written straight from the dryest desert.
