LE THUG - Glasgow meets the Outer Hebrides and creates haunting, Stereolab-esque songs. Le Thug have been building a solid reputation across Scotland after a series of releases through Song, by Toad. This is their first show in Edinburgh for quite some time. Come and give them a warm welcome.
PLASTIC ANIMALS - Plastic Animals describe themselves as atmospheric punk-rock sludge, and last year's debut LP showcases them at their very best. Dense, multi-layered krautrock-influenced songs that reveal more on every listen. These days, this is a very rare live outing for them!
DTHPDL - DTHPDL are a four piece band from Edinburgh mixing an intriguing blend of grunge, weird pop, krautrock, electronica and synth rock melodies. They also wear kimonos on stage, projections, sing about dragons, light and 1920s artists. Based on renowned label Song, by Toad they’ve been championed by the likes of Tom Ravenscroft (BBC 6Music) and Mike Watt of the Minutemen / Stooges.

Leith Recording Company, in association with Leith Depot, presents a showcase of some of the artisits we have had the pleasure of working with in the studio over the last few months - Betty & The Bass, T.C.M.A. (They Call Me Al), The Mermaids and Martina Cannon-Ball.
BETTY AND THE BASS - This vibrant three piece have been bringing country/grunge vibes to Central Scotland for almost 3 years now in a variety of projects. Lyndsey, Ben & Willie take influence from the likes of Johnny Cash, Pixies & Fleetwood Mac, creating a unique style that sets them aside from your average indie band. Under a fresh new name, 'Betty and The Bass', they are releasing a storm of new music to your ears in the very near future.
THE MERMAIDS - The Mermaids are two songwriting sisters, Rosie and Ellen, from rural South West Scotland. They focus on close vocal harmony accompanied by acoustic guitar and ukulele. In their career of three years they have toured with acts such as Joss Stone and Jools Holland, have performed live on TV and BBC Radio, had a BBC Introducing session dedicated to them and performed their first gig outside Scotland at The Royal Albert Hall in London. They released an album in late 2013 'In A Day' and are currently recording a second album to be released early next year.
