Golden Arm Vs MC Almond Milk
DOORS 7:30pm // £tbc

Do like pop music? Do you like dancing? Do you like dancing to pop music? We're putting on a show, and who knows, if it goes well we might put on a few more..... In this instance our tall and talented friend MC Almond Milk is bringing cuts from his current record 'Full Day, Cool times' to Leith Depot. Expect dark wit and dry beats.

GOLDEN ARM - Formed in January 2014, Golden Arm pen pop music for the underdog, the unlucky in love and all of those buying a single cinema ticket on a Saturday night. Reminding us all that, while everything will be okay in the end, it does have the potential to get a lot worse in the meantime.
Darkly crooned vocals deliver dry wit and careworn cynicism in equal measure, over a musical landscape that plots its reference points somewhere between the saccharine shine of 1960’s pop and the low-end rumble of 1970’s New York.
Taking their inspiration from the windswept winter streets of the Scottish capital these three unlikely purveyors of faintly awkward gauchepop strive to bring a wry smile to the face of anyone who’s ever felt just that little bit lost.

MC ALMOND MILK - aka A. R. Droops, dairy-free bedroom rapper, "pollokshaws rap existentialist" the herald, "sonic polymath james scott proves he is equally adept at making inventive, melodic hip hop" the list, "originally hailing from japan, this glaswegian war veteran’s debut mixtape is an adventure for the brain and the earlobes" ravechild
