Agustitos Grandes Carapapas
DOORS 7:30pm // £8 OTD or £6 Ticketed (Get your Ticket here)

As part of a series of monthly events organised by TuFlamenco. Agustitos Grandes Carapapas Revival presents a quite original night consisting in an eclectic musical night of Bossa Nova & Flamenco, made by musicians & friends & surprises with a final Fiesta Big Bang in which we will all collaborate. We try to make a beautiful & happy night to remember, full of dance and laughter so be ready for having an unforgettable time. This will be the line-up, plus some guests surprises:
SERGIO PRAZERES TRIO - Portuguese guitar player and singer, who plays a mixture of classic Bossa Nova and samba
CHEEKYRRIKIS FLAMENCO POWER - A fresh twist in the typical flamenco genre. Founded on traditional flamenco folk music and dance, its essence gets transformed into a new original variation without forgetting its roots. After a few month busy organising other projects Inma Montero & Danielo Olivera get back with surprises.
TABLAO FLAMENCO - Just a wee sample of our traditional monthly events of 'Tablao Flamenco', with everything you know is going to happen: highly-expressive flamenco music & dance, with lots of hand clapping, percussive footwork, and intricate hand, arm, and body movements, always accompanied by a singer and guitar player, and sometimes other instruments like cajón and others. Danielo Olivera & Inma Montero al cante, Daniel Martínez a la guitarra flamenca, and Gabriela Pouso al baile... just a wee taste of our Noche Flamenca.

Friday 22nd

Star Rover album launch w/Bloom, Golden Arm & PAL
DOORS 8:00pm // £6 OTD or £5 Ticketed (Get your Ticket here)

STAR ROVER - Minor Miracles is the title of our second record. We recorded it at Chamber Studio with Graeme Young in the late late autumn haze of 2018. Frank Black once recorded there. The Darkness also did some tour production there quite a long time ago. That's quite funny. Anyway, there are ten tracks of indie-rock on the album. They are sometimes loud, although mostly not, sometimes fast, although mostly not. The songs about gentrification, hurtling towards your mid 30s, and all the big hits - love, death etc.
BLOOM - Bloom make alternative, life affirming wizard pop using experiments with natural and augmented vocal harmonies, syncopation and synthesisers. Coming all the way from Brighton, it's a pleasure to have them be here!
GOLDEN ARM - Golden Arm pen pop music for the underdog, the unlucky in love and all of those buying a single cinema ticket on a Saturday night. Reminding us that, while everything will be okay in the end, it does have the potential to get a lot worse in the meantime.
PAL - were formed in Edinburgh in 2012 by a lobster-clawed pop svengali, to treat local music groups in danger of disbanding by playing their songs back at them in a futile attempt to keep them together. Friendship blossomed in PAL however and the 3-piece have gone from strength to strength wowing crowds across the central belt with first their covers of the dead (Acid Fascists, ABBA, Iron Maiden) onto their own hand-written elegies to the very much alive (The Ramones, David Icke, the contents of our galaxy and with our humble apologies for thinking they were dead, Shock & Awe).

DOORS 2:00pm untill 5.00pm // £5 OTD

PAUL VICKERS AND THE LEG - The Leg return to the depot, this time in their other six piece form fronted by Mr Twonkey aka Paul Vickers. A reckless amalgam of a feral thrash folk band and the lyrical maverick behind Dawn of the Replicants indeed.

FOX OPERA - returns all the way from London to play a Fuzz Bat gig for the first time since May 2017(Fuzz Bat III). This time in the form of a new exciting solo project which I hear will have loops and such.

DR. VZX MOIST - This will be the first home show for Moist since our France Tour, if we make it back that is. Our usual post punk, noise rock racket will be in full force.

THE GOAT ROPER RODEO BAND- With just an upright bass, two old guitars and a bucketful of aching harmony, THE GOAT ROPER RODEO BAND are preaching ‘Country Blues’ like you never heard… It’s up, it’s down, it’s soft and loud, it’s dark and lonesome too, there’s hurt and shame and some mean old pain but there’s love in what they do! There’s a hint of Gram, a sniff of Dylan and a twist of Waylon’s blues … Simply put, it’s exactly what it says on the tin.

PARIS TO EDINBURGH Tour : Black Lilys, Jody Jody, Scott Candlish
DOORS 7:00pm // £5 OTD

This is a story of four unique indie folk artists whose musical appetite came together in the city of Edinburgh. While meeting separately in their respective home bases, the eclectic artists have come together and are gearing up for their fresh tour that includes four intimate shows.

BLACK LILYS - is the sweet blend born between Camille’s husky voice and Robin’s dark guitar melodies. Together, the brother and the sister flavour the musical landscape with their sensitive indie pop folk. Their first album “Boxes”, recalls the work of Björk, Ben Howard, The XX and Aurora. While drawing upon such influences, their music offers a strikingly unique sound with their purely organic tones. The Black Lilys have multiplied their concerts in the last 3 years and continue to grow. The duet showcase a welcomingly intimate performance that is not left indifferent.

SCOTT CANDLISH - Singer songwriter Scott Candlish blends folk fingerstyle with alternative rock in his unique craft influenced by the likes of Ryan Adams, Ben Howard and Lindsey Buckingham. A Melbourne based songwriter all of his life, he currently lives and is playing regular shows in Edinburgh. While being heavily involved in the Edinburgh music scene, he has spent a lot time writing new material reflecting upon the move away from home.

JODY JODY - is a singer-songwriter based in Paris. Influenced by british rock and neo-soul she moved to Manchester when se was 18. With her beloved blue telecaster, she toured the local stages before exploring other cities like Liverpool, London, Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh (she played at the Fringe Festival in 2017 and 2018). Back in France, she was one of the contestant of the famous TV show, The Voice. She works now on her first EP in Paris.
