Adriana Spina - Adriana Spina is a Scottish singer and songwriter. Fans of Sheryl Crow, Kathleen Edwards, and Shawn Colvin - stop on by! Adriana's songs are honest and sparkling, and her live performances not quickly forgotten - raw and heartfelt in equal measure.

Jules Reed - Jules Reed is a singer/songwriter and guitarist based in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is the 'alter ego' of classical composer Julian Wagstaff. Jules fronts Edinburgh-based band The Firrenes, on vocals and guitar. The band's highly successful launch gig took place on 3 November 2016 in the Voodoo Rooms in Edinburgh.

Kat Healy - Kat Healy is a singer songwriter from Edinburgh UK and has been described as a combination of well-crafted songs, beautiful voice and delightful stage presence, with a striking ability to take an audience on a heartfelt journey with her music... "equal parts soulful, sweet and soothing...Kat mostly evokes thoughts of a raw Joni Mitchell or Bon Iver (Stu Lewis, The Tidal Wave of Indifference)

Folk Night

The monthly folk night at the depot continues on the 25th and this one looks lovely. We have Polly Edwards a talented Canadian singer-songwriter plus local legends Will Richards and Pete Menzies. There's always a few more songsmiths on the night too followed by an open session. Entry by donation (proceeds go to musicians).

Refugee Benefit Gig n°13

The 13th benefit gig , organised by Solidarity with Displaced Humans to raise funds for Re-Act, Refugee Action - Scotland and Edinburgh Cares now World Care Foundation , sending desperately needed aid to refugees. The Countess of Fife , Fanny Pelemet and the Bastard Suits and solo artist Tom Reed

The Countess of Fife - is an insurgent country project begun by singer Fay Fife (The Rezillos/The Revillos) alongside guitarist Allan Mcdowall (So You Think You're A Cowboy). The Countess of Fife draws from country, punk, early r 'n' b, soul and gospel. The Countess of Fife has a flexible lineup, performing either as a duo or full band collaborating with friends and like minded musicians. The Countess of Fife is loosely aligned with the insurgent country movement and is inspired by country, punk, early R & B, gospel and soul. They played their first show in November 2016 (a refugee benefit) as a three piece. The Countess of Fife have recently begun recording. The sessions have included: legendary drummer Ted McKenna and The Rezillos bassist Chris Agnew.

Raza, Featherwest and support

Proud to be putting on a party with the exellent Raza of Glasgow to a room of groovers getting down to some banging eccentric indie-troninc wonky pop!

Raza - Face melting barrage of drum and electronic workouts that will slice right through your nervous system and stab your dance reflex right in the funny bit, triggering multiple sensory overloads and unleashing a thousand shapes. Gav and Bertrand are celebrating the Edinburgh leg of their debut EP launch "Futuramayana" at the show. Make a move. With drums V synths (bertrand vs gav) iy's less of a fight, more of a heated conversation

FEATHERWEST - has been described as “eccentric indietronica meets wonky pop”.... " All in all we kinda wish we lived in Twin Peaks.” The band are Glasgow based trio were initially borne out of a serendipitous meeting between Iwona and Ryan during the 5am police raid in Soho club Helena Troys. Debut year saw Featherwest stage with LA’s Mini Mansions (Queens of the Stone Age- Micheal Shuman with Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys). Headline Hidden Door festival Monday with the launch of single – ‘A Baby Not Yet’ on a brand new beer produced by Edinburgh events co. Decagram. Featherwest kicked off 2016 Celtic Connections alongside Rock Action record’s De Rosa and NYC’s Frog and have since performed with VAMPIRE WEEKEND’s Chris Baio. September Featherwest recorded with Mogwai producer Paul Savage for a winter release and plan album sessions for a 2017 launch. Alongside UK stuff the trio head to dark venues in eastern Europe in 2017 collaborating with American indie label Loose Wire.



SUNDAY 28th

Americana Backroom Session

The Americana Backroon Sessions is back at the Leith Depot in May with another two great local Americana acts...on a Sunday evening for a change!

Coldsville - are making their ABS debut. They've been busy working on a new record so expect some fresh material from the 6-piece.

Steve Grozier - is set to open the May event. Steve is a regular on the Scottish Americana scene, recently playing the King Tuts stage at the Country to Country festival back in March.
